Space in a house can have a specific function or use. One room that has a specific function is the kitchen, so it has specific furniture needs. Tips for choosing a kitchen set can be a guide in choosing one of the most important pieces of furniture needed by the kitchen.

Kitchen sets are not only about functional aspects because of their usefulness in facilitating cooking activities, but also being a decorative element for a kitchen. These functional and aesthetic aspects are needed in a balanced way so that the kitchen set has an optimal function and also enhances the appearance of the kitchen.

Here are some tips for choosing kitchen set products that can be used as a guide when you need the furniture.

Pay attention to the size of the kitchen

One of the most important things to consider is the size of the kitchen. The size and shape of the kitchen room must be the main consideration factor in order to be able to choose a kitchen set with a shape and size that suits the needs and conditions of the room.

Kitchen sets that are dedetizadora too large can make the kitchen space narrow and lose usable space. In extreme cases, an oversized kitchen set can't even be used because it doesn't fit into the kitchen.

Kitchen Set Design Style

Another thing that should be a concern is the kitchen set design style. There are many design styles that should be chosen according to the style of the house and the kitchen space that will be occupied by the kitchen set.

A house with a minimalist style should also use a kitchen set with a minimalist or simple style. While the classic type house can use a kitchen set that has a rustic type design that looks elegant and luxurious.

The factor of maintenance needs should also be part of the considerations related to the kitchen set design style. Simple or minimalist forms are generally easier to maintain and clean when compared to complex forms.

Kitchen Set Capacity Considerations

The kitchen set size factor will be directly related to the capacity of the furniture. The plan of use and the needs in the kitchen will be a consideration about the capacity of the ideal kitchen set to be made or used. Any items or kitchen utensils that will be used or already owned are the main considerations to determine the appropriate size and capacity.

Consider Between Custom or Ready-to-Use Products

One of the important tips for choosing a kitchen set is choosing between a ready-to-use kitchen set or making a custom kitchen set. Choosing a custom kitchen set can provide several advantages, especially in terms of shapes and sizes that can be adapted to kitchen conditions. Kitchen sets that are made to order by consumers can also match the style or style of home and kitchen design. Another thing that can be adjusted is the material to the color of the kitchen set.

The disadvantage of custom kitchen set products is that the price is relatively more expensive when compared to ready-to-use kitchen sets. Ready-to-use kitchen sets can be an alternative if there are limited funds. However, the selection of a ready-to-use kitchen set must consider the size in detail and the suitability of the design and color with the existing kitchen space.

Pay Attention to Material Quality

Quality kitchen set products can be obtained from a combination of quality materials or materials and good quality workmanship. This material factor is generally closely related to price. Now there are quite a lot of material choices with good quality at a rational price. Materials in the form of HPL or High Pressure Laminate can be an alternative to making a functional and aesthetic kitchen set at a price that is not too expensive.

Great Opportunity for Online Business in the Middle of the Corona Pandemic

The Corona / Covid-19 outbreak that has not yet subsided in Indonesia has an impact on various sectors, not only health but also the economy and business. Several businesses ranging from micro to macro are increasingly sluggish, they have started to reduce and even stop production due to the declining number of buyers, especially for retail businesses. Despite being in the midst of a crisis, the mobility of goods and buying and selling activities are constrained, the wheels of the economy must continue to spin because people's demand to meet the necessities of life continues. The community, especially entrepreneurs, must be keen to see positive opportunities to be able to provide solutions to market needs in conditions like today. The presence of digital technology can be used to market and sell products to consumers as well as a strategy to survive in the midst of the crisis due to the Corona outbreak.

In the summary of the TopKarir on Sonora live broadcast (20/4/2020) Bayu Janitra, CEO of TopKarir Indonesia, accompanied by Rara as the host, shared his views regarding promising business opportunities in the midst of the Corona outbreak situation.

Mas Bayu is familiarly called, seeing the stage of changing consumer behavior in the midst of a crisis due to the pandemic. When Covid-19 occurs, all generations tend to behave the same way, the first thing they do is panic buying because humans have an instinct to feel safe. The second stage is that they begin to realize which products are important and which are not. And thirdly, people are starting to understand that there are goods that really need to be bought more with the excuse of reducing the frequency of going out of the house.

Studying behavioral changes in various generations, Mas Bayu explained that generation z and millennials are more focused on buying products that are important in these conditions, such as protective masks, hand sanitizers, gloves, hand soap, etc. While generation X and baby boomers tend to buy products that they are used to buying, the occurrence of Covid-19 does not really affect shopping decisions.

Based on research conducted by Nielsen, Mas Bayu also summarized six points of change in people's behavior in the midst of a crisis due to the pandemic, firstly, health minded where people think preventively, health management which tends to prioritize health products to prevent the spread of the virus, third is pantry preparation , people start buying product in large quantities for long-term needs as well as a step to reduce the frequency of shopping out, the fourth is quarantined preparation , the community deftly takes steps to prepare themselves for quarantine and buys all the items needed, the fifth is restricted livingwhere people start to limit the purchase of goods that are not really needed and prioritize primary needs during the pandemic, and sixth is the new normal , new habits are born by the community, such as a higher concern for helping others and donating.

Opportunities in online business are of course very large, but there are also obstacles in terms of distribution. Delivery of goods to some areas is restricted or even closed access.

According to Mas Bayu, potential products for business are health and safety products , such as protective masks, due to very high public demand. People are now much more hygienic, this is what brand owners need to identify so they can process their products more cleanly to increase public confidence in buying products.

In the food and beverage sector , people in the second week of quarantine and working from home are getting bored with home food because they are used to eating different foods in the office every day, so they end up ordering food online.

"I think this is the new normal where people have started to get used to this kind of condition," said Mas Bayu.

Digital services are also on the rise, now people are starting to subscribe to cable tv, Netflix, Spotify and Youtube Premium for entertainment during quarantine, even digital streaming is considered one of the most potential business sectors.

When asked by Rara regarding promising business products in the midst of the current epidemic situation, Mas Bayu shared three profitable online business ideas. The first is a business in the food sector, but it should be noted that the food sold is not one time consuming , people now prefer to buy food that can be stored and lasts for several days, such as frozen food . The second business opportunity is the online grocery business, start business young people are no longer active in the market, and they don't want to eat the same food every day with ingredients they have at home. People need to be active and cooking is one of the productive activities at home. The third is the snack business, to accompany work activities at home, coffee and snacks are products that are in high demand.

"If we have determined what business we want to run, the next step is to deliver the interests of consumers, the first is a sense of security and comfort with a hygienic production process, the second is product quality," added Mas Bayu.

Finally, Mas Bayu also shared an online business strategy that would benefit the company. He explained that the first step that must be done is not to panic by immediately turning to an online business before the product is actually properly researched , because what happens is customer dissatisfaction and disappointment with the product.

“Making the decision to switch to online or not depends on the research we do, just a small search . As an easy example, we can use the survey, poll , and question features in Instagram Stories to find insights regarding prices and market desires. The point is we can take advantage of the tools that are around us. The second is learning from existing business examples, observing what happens in the field,” explained Mas Bayu.

Mas Bayu also shares tips and tricks on starting an online business and how to market it in the current Covid-19 situation. He explained.

“The key is product segmentation, it must be clear and there is a difference compared to similar products, we identify opportunities that can be encouraged, build stories about your product, for example, products are made with high quality materials, that's one of the branding efforts . We have to keep coming up with new ideas that address people's needs and also make sure they feel safe and comfortable when buying our products, because now everyone needs that.”

Lanyard or also often called id card strap is a rope that is usually used to hang id cards. How to use a lanyard is to hang the rope around the neck. Lanyard straps or id card straps are usually used for committee id cards, employee identification cards, and for nametags.

1. Promotional Media

One of the most effective functions of a lanyard is as a promotional medium. Usually at large events there will be a sponsor or the name of the organizing organization. Usually a lanyard is used so that participants remember the name written on this Lanyard rope. So that the ID card can also function differently and it is very useful to promote the organization.

Lanyard straps are also easily visible even from a distance. So it is very effectively used for media promotion. So all the information on the lanyard is easily conveyed to everyone who sees it.

2. Media Branding

The next function of the Lanyard is as a branding medium. On the surface of the lanyard printed the logo and name of the company or institution can be used as a medium for branding the company or institution. If the employees who use the lanyard are in public places such as public transportation or places to eat, they will indirectly introduce the company or institution where they work to the people around them. because, global asia printings there will be people around who accidentally read the writing and logo on the surface of the lanyard he is wearing.

People who read the writing and see the logo on the lanyard used by the staff or employee finally get new information that there is a company/institution with that name.

3. Differentiating Employees from Clients

Another function of the lanyard is to distinguish employees of a company or institution from clients who visit the office of the company or institution. If employees do not wear these lanyards, then their appearance will look the same as the client. Especially if the employee is not wearing a uniform, but casual clothes.

The appearance of employees and clients who look the same will make clients who are visiting the office of the company or institution for the first time unable to distinguish between employees and clients. So in the end, the new client who had wanted to ask the employees for help became the wrong person, they actually asked for help from fellow clients.

4. Event Souvenirs

Another function of the lanyard is as a souvenir. Lanyards are also often found at paid seminars or workshops. The lanyard used by the participants and the committee is branding the message, logo and writing that shows the activity. Even though the event has ended, seeing the lanyard can remind you of the event.

The next function of the lanyard is as a cellphone accessory. Today, along with increasingly innovative creativity, especially to make something that has a high selling value. Lately, the use of lanyard straps to hang cellphones around the neck like an Id Card is booming because it is used as a fashion complement. But currently using Lanyards as cell phone hangers, certain ornaments need to be added to make them more beautiful and more attractive. The addition is usually a tassel, pompom, and several other items.

6. Keychain or Pen

Other lanyard functions are key chains and pen hangers. For people who tend to forget to put small objects such as keys and pens, they can use a Lanyard strap. In addition to having uses that make it easier for someone to find small objects such as keys and pens, Lanyard ropes will also provide beauty. Where pens and keys will give the impression of being attractive to the eye if decorated with a lanyard.

Another function of the lanyard is as a flash disk hanger. Currently the use of flash is very important for students, students and even workers. All that because the flash is a small object capable of loading so much data in it. But of course the shape of this small flash will increasingly make this object often lost. What's more, if you are hunted for a job or task, it will make the accuracy decrease and eventually the flash is forgotten. That's why the Lanyard strap can be used as a solution for this, where the flash can be hung on this Lanyard strap. So of course the flash can be hung on the neck or other easily visible places. This strap will also make small flash drives easier to see.
